Since its founding in 1983, Schram Plants has been at the forefront of the Irish horticulture scene. Specialising in Herbaceous Perennials and Alpines, Schram Plants quickly became a household name within the Landscape and Garden Centre trade for exceptional range and quality. Schram Plants also grows Grasses, Herbs, Ferns and Bamboos for the Landscape and Garden Centre market.
Throughout the years Schram Plants have achieved many awards, with Best Irish Plant Supplier from 2007 through to 2010, Best Environmental Practices in 2009, Production Process in 2010 and Customer Service award in 2010 to name but a few. We pride ourselves in our quality, attention to detail and customer service. With bespoke colour plant labels, Schram Plants stand out on the Garden Centre benches.
Producing our own cuttings and seeds, Schram Plants has total control over quality throughout all the steps in the production cycle. We are one of the few nurseries that grow plants from start to finish – making the range fully Irish grown. With a vast range of 1800 varieties in stock, we truly are a one stop shop for Herbaceous, Alpines, Herbs, Grasses, Ferns and Bamboos.
Schram Plants produces 1.2m units annually, with 20 staff on its 13 Acre production facility. Schram Plants introduced its popular “Nice & Easy™” range in 2000, initially with Alpines and Herbs, and this was later extended to include Herbaceous Perennials. This range has proven itself with garden Centres through out the country.
Schram Plants have brought out a range of plants recommended by Dermot O’Neill under the “Nice & Easy™” Range. These plants are tried and tested garden varieties selected for various attributes. These plants are all Irish grown in our native climate, meaning they perform better in Irish Gardens. Look out for the Dermot Recommends labels in your garden centres.
